Square One Skate video Release - Dec

If you hav'nt already heard through the skatevine about the release of this mammoth London scene video then something is seriously gone astray.

The première event was truly how it should be...In a pub, Cheap booze and no evil rib smashing beef cake bouncers. Top show!

The critics are saying "Square One is the new black"

Low to NO budget, Jake Harris and Daniel Clark have conjured up an exact depiction of London skate lurking. Barely visible slow mo,s, A glossary of spots, A fresh take on the filming and crisp breath of editing. This wee chestnut has surely given Hold Tight productions a run for it's money.

Now... if you wondering why I'm baging on about this so much, it's because if you like scene vids and are constantly pineing for your next hit then this is at present a pinnacle.

Lcb Skate, Surf and Snow Are stocking it and I would urge you to invest.
"It will change your life".

burton (B) movie premiere snaps

Below lies a few of the funnies from the Burton B Movie premiere last week at Dingwalls (Camden)

(It seems every snowman and his dog were out of hibernation for this one.)

Once again, Burton have set some futuristic standards with this latest release for 2010,
With a huge array of big production, pan-roll over sequence shots, in an overly exposed but quirky manner, quick slap method editing and Jeremy Jones'es, jibberevolution section, all make for a highly pleasing visual package.

The premiere night in itself was a real hoot! Fairly civilized affair really, with only a few messy carcasses sprawled about the place. With dj,s, drink specials and a performance from band, Fenech Soler to close things up.

One thing that was quickly apparent, was the fact that, an event that was aimed at showcasing a brands talent and creativeness was also, equally as much,(for the London scene, anyway) the shotgun at the start of the race for the burgeoning season. Happy hopping, it's finally here!!

Big ups to: Burton, Gravis, Analog, lizzy, Dan, Dingwalls and the whole LCB team for making it matter.

And... Yes, if you are wondering, We do have the film in stock at both stores.

aesthetic and audio entertainment allnight.

Laurie Storey thinks the world is a funny old place, and that people forget this sometimes. So via the medium of the 4 p’s [pen, pencil, paint, and paper] he endeavours to reinterpret the information that goes through his eyes so that you can enjoy it with yours. Using satire within his work he aims to provoke and challenge common perceptions of the environment in which we live. After finally being squeezed out of the art schools mangle he currently lives and works an illustrator east London.

FADING MEETS SOURCREAM-exhibition@lcb

Please join us this Thursday 25th June as we showcase the works of two up
and coming artists at LCB Brick Lane.

Sour Cream is the alter ego of Sascha Di Giambattista.
He has a unique illustrative style that is best described as ‘bitter
sweet’, conjuring up imagery from the private depths of his mind.
A recent graduate, Sascha has become an artist of many skills throwing
animation, painting and even beat boxing into the Sour Cream mix.

Fading is the brainchild of Tom Andrews.
It is a small, customized clothing label specializing in painting designs
onto various styles of hat.
The works created are depictions of his every day experiences. He has an
over active imagination and seems to generate ideas out of the seemingly
useless.
Already screen-printing his designs onto T-shirts, Tom wants to expand
the Fading label, printing limited runs on clothing apparel.

Plus LIVE beats from local hip hop and jazz trio ‘ The J.D.G Band’
and sets from our resident LCB Djs, refreshments and all good vibes.
See you there!

New skate scene vid in.

After much banter from all the senior skate locals, who lurk amongst the shop
telling us on a constant basis that they've seen every shralp video under the sun.
I've finally managed to get one in stock that lcb can lay claim to be the only stockists in London of. It's called Bluestone Home and it's decent!!

It's a kiwi guy named Geoff Campbell production, with an onturage of kiwi-aussie skaters including Jack Kirk, Arthur(LCB REPPER)kay, tomas vintar, sam wood, spike buchanan, geoff campbell, alladin, josh roullion, ben hawke and james wright. Even a bit of vile and mcgouran on there at some point.
anyways...It's a fiver and it's more than worth it. Just check the throw away bits below
